“Prague is story book handsome, made with cobblestone streets, frilly buildings, a castle on a hill, and a river that runs through it. Strolling along Old Town’s narrow lanes past magically sculpted buildings garnished with golden spires, is like wandering through a gigantic jewel box. With surprising harmony, gothic cathedrals rub shoulders with renaissance mansions, baroque churches, cubist office buildings and art nouveau houses—a smorgasbord of evolutionary architecture and a miracle of contrasts and colors that exists nowhere else. It’s a city full of historical juxtapositions, but one that has always been adept at balancing respect for the past with the shock of the new. And you can’t see Prague by car; this is not a city for windshield tourists. Wasting whole days in pubs may be the best way to understand the capital’s real culture, but drinking-in vast quantities of scenery is the only way to experience the city itself.”—avantGUIDEprague
:the best club i’ve been to in prague by far. unfortunately we didn’t take a camera. i stole these from googlen obrasky (czech google image?) but they hardly do justice to the techno moon rave interiors that are covered in gadgets including car parts, sewing machine mechanics, and a world of glow.
